Hacking a Vette

There’s something — much — to be said for building and driving older cars that are not susceptible to modern electronica.  To be honest, I am not entirely comfortable with the fact that my 944 has as much electronic and electrical tomfoolery as it does.  I would prefer manual-almost-everything.  But my car may be just about at that divide where the electronic invasion is at a minimum; certainly nothing like the digitization that has swamped modern Porsches and almost everything else.  This may seem strange coming from me, with 35 years in the computer industry, mostly as a professional programmer, and one whose personal home network consists of 10 desktops and laptops and assorted other digital devices.
