Way back when, I had a wonderful but clapped out (until I did a lot of rebuilding; actually, the major rebuild/semi-restore of my checkered automotive career) 1963 Land Rover 109 wagon. I sourced a lot of parts from Belize, including a set of shop manuals. These were the most wonderful manuals I have ever experienced, with perfect line drawings and logical and complete instructions. I always considered them works of art.
Now, we have another set of automotive documentation that begs to be seen as art. This is that of the McLaren F1, once the world’s fastest production road car. Watch this video and see story details at BBC Autos.
